Your footage stays on your Mac.
RaveCut works on your own computer. It doesn't upload your videos, doesn't track you, and doesn't show ads. Here is everything that does leave your Mac, and why.
The short version: the app only goes online to check your serial key when you activate or deactivate it. Your footage, your projects and your edits are never sent anywhere.
The RaveCut app
- Your footage and edits never leave your Mac. RaveCut reads your video and sound files and builds the edit on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
- Activating your key. When you enter a serial key, the app sends that key and a name for this Mac (like "Premiere on Studio-Mac") to Lemon Squeezy, who issue the keys, so they can check it and count how many Macs use it. Deactivating sends the key again so the Mac can be removed. That's the only time the app goes online.
- No tracking. The app has no analytics, no usage tracking and no ads.
- Log files stay with you. RaveCut can save a log file (file names and timings, no video) to your Mac. It's only shared if you choose to send it to us for support.
Buying RaveCut
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They collect your name, email and payment details to take the payment, send your receipt and serial key, and handle refunds and tax. We never see your card number. Their privacy policy covers what they do with it. From them we receive your name, email, what you bought and your license status, so we can support you.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads.
- The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep standard technical logs (like IP addresses) to run the site and keep it secure.
- The fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them, which shares your IP address with Google.
When you email us
If you write to support@ravecut.com, we keep your email and our replies so we can help you. We don't sell or share them, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it: write to support@ravecut.com.

- If we ever change what the app sends, we'll update this page and the date below first.
